Our Story

Heaven Sent Care began with something simple: time, presence, and genuine care.

Long before Heaven Sent Care became a trusted name in the community, its founder, Julie Finn, was spending her days listening to stories, offering companionship, and sitting alongside older adults who needed someone to truly see them. After more than 40 years as a hairdresser, Julie was forced by illness to step away from her profession and begin again. What felt like an ending became the beginning of a calling she never expected.

As Julie began caring for seniors, she discovered a deep sense of purpose in simply being there—listening, comforting, and offering steady support. One of her earliest clients, whom she eventually cared for around the clock, left a lasting impression and sparked a realization: families in our community needed more than basic help. They needed care rooted in kindness, trust, and dignity.

What began as quiet word-of-mouth support soon grew into something more intentional. As families continued to reach out, Julie recognized the need to build a small, trusted team who shared her heart for caring for seniors. She personally brought together a group of women from St. Joseph Parish in Cold Spring, forming what became known as the St. Joe’s Ladies—the first caregivers of Heaven Sent Care. From the beginning, this team was grounded in faith, compassion, and a shared commitment to serving others with dignity and kindness.

As Heaven Sent Care grew, the heart behind it never changed. Caregivers didn’t just complete tasks—they formed meaningful relationships. They learned favorite recipes, listened to life stories, and honored routines that brought comfort and familiarity. Families found reassurance knowing their loved ones were in caring hands, even when they couldn’t be there themselves.

Today, Heaven Sent Care serves seniors throughout Northern Kentucky and the Greater Cincinnati area, offering non-medical in-home companionship and support wherever seniors call home. While the agency has grown and been recognized within the community—including a Small Business Impact Award nomination—its foundation remains the same: caring for people as individuals, not schedules.
